Painting is how I sing and tell the stories of the people I'm painting. I listen to music and let myself go into my imagination. I enjoy showing people how beautiful their authenticity is. Each painting has hidden treasures and symbols representing a story that is unique. Marveling at the wonder in creation and all the beauty it has to offer, specifically the things that most overlook, I love to show people how my energy sees their energy. I am so humbled when a painting reveals itself and it fills me with true exhilaration I use color to celebrate, weaving their stories together.
Abstract Expressionism
Painting is therapeutic for me. It's how I check in with myself and keep my own counsel. So, I wander through memories and feel those feelings of joy, regret, growth, wonder, and I have peace in recognizing the way it all worked together for good. The feeling of hope is a beautiful comfort and it leaves me with such a grateful heart. I've discovered over the last four years of working on these pieces, that authenticity is my favorite thing to discover in people, so each painting is someone's authentic song.
